As the world prepares for travel in the post-pandemic age, CENTRED, a new global platform aims to bring peace of mind to travelers with an offering of wellness experiences and resources.

Raised £1M

Recently, the travel startup raised $1.3M (approx £1M) funding in a seed round led by T9L, with participation from YesVentures in April, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s worth mentioning T9L also offered product development time and tech resources to help CENTRED build its launch product.

The London-based startup will use the money to build its digital platform, website, booking system, marketing program, and all tech onboarding services.

CENTRED CEO Brian Chappon comments: “We’re very proud to have raised such a sum during such an extraordinary time and in such a novel manner. The backing of T9L, TeamYes Ventures, and other angels means that CENTRED can help bring wellness into the travel equation at a crucial time for the industry. The funds have given us the scope to expand our offering to every continent, and over 200 cities, all through partnerships we have developed during the height of a global pandemic.”

One-stop wellness concierge

Founded in 2020 by Brian Chappon, serial entrepreneur and CEO, CENTRED serves as a one-stop wellness concierge where members can easily access personalised recommendations for fitness studios, spas, telemedicine, restaurants, excursions, retailers, and lounges in more than 200 cities worldwide.

As a CENTRED member, a traveler could land on another continent and consult with a telemedicine professional, schedule a morning fitness class, arrange a spa service for the afternoon, and book a dinner reservation at a must-visit restaurant.

During the launch, the global digital platform partnered with both established and emerging brands across the globe including DragonPass, TechnoGym, and Evolution Wellness. With a goal to support and drive revenue for small businesses during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, CENTRED’s partners also include top emerging brands, including 4th Ave Market, Frame, Hyfit, Racked Stretch, and Rhone.

Fahad Moti Khan, CEO of T9L.com adds: “In the face of this unprecedented global crisis driven by COVID–19, wellness and general health have come to the forefront. As travel will undoubtedly resume, the experience will no doubt be very different. Business and work-related travellers, in particular, being of the highest frequency are increasingly concerned about staying well and healthy while on the road. CENTRED is in a unique position, with its expansive ecosystem of partners, to provide that peace of mind, when it comes to health, wellness, and safe travel. We are very excited to be part of this journey and to watch CENTRED grow from strength to strength.”

The team behind CENTRED has visited a cumulative 224 countries, lived on 6 continents, and speaks 6 different languages.
