Netflix Sweeps Nielsen’s Top 10 Streaming Chart With ‘Clickbait,’ ‘Lucifer’

Nielsen’s report shows that Netflix swept all ten spots overall across Original, Acquired, and Movies for the week ending September 12. Once again, the streamer’s series Clickbait took the top spot in terms of viewership for the week ending September 12, with more than 1 billion minutes streamed across its eight episodes.

Lucifer came in a close second crossing the billion mark as well, which is easier to do with 93 episodes. Manifest and Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror were also among the top viewed titles overall for the week.

In terms of Originals, aside from Netlflix’s top three already mentioned, Money Heist made third place with 538 million minutes, followed by Hulu’s trippy Nine Perfect Strangers starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. Hulu also claimed No. 6 with Only Murders in the Building, whicle Netflix and Disney+ rounded out the final spots.

In Acquired titles, Manifest topped the chart with 831 million minutes across 42 episodes, while fan favorites like Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomay, CoComelon and more followed high on the list. Newcomers this week include series like Flash and Friday Night Lights, which is always a good rewatch.

Understandably, movies generally have much lower viewing minutes since they’re just 120 minutes long vs something like Grey’s Anatomy which has 376 episodes to binge. With that said, Netflix’s Original Kate and Cinderella from Amazon Prime Video were neck and neck, both clocking over 420 million minutes of viewing time. Disney’s Cruella on Disney+ also made the list, along with Luca which are repeats from the previous week.

This week also marked new Netflix titles making the charts including Worth, School of Rock, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins and more.
