Netflix Announces 5 New True Crime Docs, Including “Tiger King 2”

Netflix is continuing the outrageous and sordid saga of Joe Exotic with Tiger King 2, a new true crime documentary coming later this year. With “Joe Exotic” (Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage) currently serving a lengthy prison sentence, there’s no word yet on what the storyline of this sequel will be. The first documentary series roared into 64 million living rooms with its tale of a rivalry between big cat owners, a hire for murder plot, the ultimate demise of “Joe Exotic,” former owner of the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma.

Netflix announced four other true crime documentaries coming in the works, all of which will be heading to the streaming service in 2022.

Tiger King 2 — Coming This Year

  • The global hit Tiger King, which attracted 64 million households in the first four weeks after its March 2020 premiere, will return to Netflix for more madness and mayhem.
