Over the weekend, Netflix and Warner Media closed a deal to greenlight a fourth and final season of Manifest. The deal will bring closure to fans all over the world left by cliffhangers from the canceled missing plane series. Now, Netflix is will deliver an extra-large, 20-episode final season to tie up all the loose ends. The streaming service announced the return of the Flight 828 search on 8/28 on Twitter.

“Since its premiere on Netflix in June, Manifest has proven very popular with our members,” said Bela Bajaria, Netflix Head of Global TV. “Jeff Rake and his team have crafted a beguiling mystery that has viewers around the world on the edge of their seats and believing again in second chances, and we’re thrilled that they will bring fans some closure with this final super-sized season.”

Series creator Jeff Rake originally intended for Manifest to have six seasons, hence the need for 20 episodes to wrap up all the storylines into one final fourth season. Manifest cast members Josh Dallas, Melissa Roxburgh, and J.R. Ramirez have reportedly closed deals to return for the final season, with others in negotiation. The Manifest actors all participated in the #SaveManifest campaign on social media which ultimately lead to the revival, so it’s hard to imagine any of the cast members would opt out of a new contract to return.

Manifest has been a top performer on Netflix ever since the streamer got rights to Seasons 1 and 2. After the show got canceled, multiple contenders were vying for a chance to get the series for Season 4, including NBCUniversal making a push for either one of the open slots on NBC or streaming on Peacock. However, the window passed and it looked like the end for the series until Netflix returned on the scene to close the deal.
