How to Watch the PGA Tour: 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions Without Cable on January 6

The best of the best golfers in the world will duel it out in the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Live from the Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort, in Kapalua, Hawaii, the event will be the calendar-year opening tournament of the PGA Tour.  To be eligible for the tournament, which will be held on the island of Maui, competitors will have had to win a tournament on the tour during the previous calendar year.

This year’s field will feature 39 of the 40 be eligible golfers, with Rory McIlroy not competing at this year’s event. 10 golfers are making their debut at the Tournament of Champions. Below is the full list of golfers who will be competing in the tournament.

Established in 1953, the Tournament of Champions has become one of the premier events of the PGA Tour. Jack Nicklaus is the only person to win the tournament 5 times. 2020 winner Harris English will return to defend his crown at this year’s event. With this year’s event being the 10th tournament of the 2021-22 season, the 39 golfers will be competing for an $8 million purse, with the winner’s guaranteed purse share of $1.44 million.

Golf Channel and NBC will handle the broadcast duties across the four-day tournament. Play by Play duties will be handled by Steve Sands with Curt Byrum joining as an analyst.
Mark Rolfing will be live from the tower and Notah Begay III and John Wood will be on the course.
