How to Watch NFL Preseason Week 3 Without Cable

  • Reading time:5 mins read

The last week of the 2021 NFL Preseason is finally here. With a loaded schedule of 16 games, the final week of the preseason will see most starters play for the first half to get ready for the opening games next week. Fringe players will have to make their names known this weekend as each team will have 80 players going into this week’s games but will have to make their final cuts down to their 53-man roster by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31.

Chicago Bears rookie QB Justin Fields will be starting the preseason finale against the Titans but head coach Matt Nagy has said that Andy Dalton will be the starter heading into Week 1. Fields has shown flashes during the preseason but the Bears offensive line has not looked up to par when it comes to protecting him. The Bears play Aaron Donald and the LA Rams in Week 1 and Nagy may want to prevent his rookie QB from losing any confidence with such a tough defense.

The top overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft Trevor Lawrence has been named the starter for the Jaguars Week 1. Lawrence hasn’t looked as impressive in Jacksonville as he did at Clemson but he’s shown enough in the preseason to beat out Gardner Minshew. Unlike Lawrence, fellow first-round QBs Trey Lance and Mac Jones have not been named starters for opening week. Jones will start the New England Patriots preseason finale with QB Cam Newton out due to COVID protocols. If he has a strong enough showing then he may be able to take over as the starter opening week. For Trey Lance, it may not be that easy, as incumbent starter Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t shown any reason to not start during opening week.

Fans will be in attendance throughout the league to watch each team’s preseason finale. Cord cutters can find out how to watch every NFL Preseason Week 3 game below.
