Apple announced today that “For All Mankind” has been
renewed for a third season. The news comes before the premiere of the second season
of the series which will be available on Apple TV+ on February 19, 2021.

The series premiered on Apple TV+ when the streaming service
launched on November 1, 2019. “For All Mankind” imagines what would have
happened if the global space race never ended and the space program remained
the cultural centerpiece of America’s hopes and dreams.

Here’s how Apple describes season 2.

It’s the height of the Cold War and tensions between the United States and the USSR are at their peak. Ronald Reagan is President and the greater ambitions of science and space exploration are at threat of being squandered as the US and Soviets go head to head to control sites rich in resources on the moon. The Department of Defense has moved into Mission Control, and the militarization of NASA becomes central to several characters’ stories: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves at the height of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war.

The first episode of season 2 debuts on Friday, February 19,
2021, followed by one new episode every Friday, exclusively on Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions, on over 1 billion screens, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung, LG, Sony, and VIZIO smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at tv.apple.com, for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
